There’s nothing better than a vigorous hike along one of the Monadnock Region’s many trails, soaking in all the views along the path. Okay, we take it back, there is one thing better: an ice-cold beer from a local brewery waiting for you at the end of the trail.

Hiking along Goose Pond, the Ashuelot Rail Trail, Sunset Rock or another trail near Keene? Stop by one of these breweries:

Modestman Brewing and Tasting Room

Elm City Brewing Company

Branch & Blade

If you’re coming off of the Mount Watatic Loop via Wapack Trail, finishing up an afternoon at the Keene Watershed, or another trail near Roxbury

The Brewers of Nye Hill Farm

If you’re checking out Rhododendron State Park, stop by for a refreshing brew in nearby Troy:

Granite Roots Brewing

If you’re out exploring Mount Caesar or Tippin Rock, check out these nearby breweries in Swanzey

West LA Brewing

Frogg Brewing

If you’re out exploring Pisgah State Park in Chesterfield or strolling along the Ashuelot Rail Trail, stop by for a refreshing brew here in nearby Winchester:

The Outlaw Brewing Company

For every path through our region it seems like there’s a brewery or brew pub along the way. Great hikes and great beer are two things we excel at. Enjoy New England IPAs, sour beer, porters, stouts, and pilsners on a patio overlooking the Contookook River in Swanzey or a deck in Jaffrey just down the road from Monadnock State Park where you can gaze out on majestic Mt. Monadnock.

Jaffrey is home to both Monadnock State Park and this brew pub at the Shattuck golf course:

Dublin Road Taproom & Eatery

Peterborough boasts abundant hiking opportunities, from easy trails in Shieling Forest and the Casalis Forest Trail Loop to more challenging hikes along Cranberry Meadow Trail and the Wapack and Marion Davis Trails. Whichever you choose, you can end up here:

Post & Beam Brewing

Here’s a great new option if you’re hiking at Harris Center or Skatutakee and Thumb Mountains near Hancock:

Hornbug Brewing Company
