Bensonwood, a Walpole-based sustainable manufacturing and construction company, announced it will expand operations at its facility at 25 Productive Ave. in Keene through the addition of a second shift.

The company plans to add 12 full-time jobs to its building systems department this fall to meet growing demand, according to a news release from Bensonwood.

The company, which Tedd and Christine Benson founded in 1973, specializes in timber frame structures for prefabricated homes. It assembles its closed-panel walls, floors and roofs through its building systems department in Keene, while the timber components and millwork products for its prefabricated homes are made at its facility in Walpole.

Bensonwood has 140 employees across its Keene and Walpole locations, according to Employee Success Officer Emily Benson.
