Breakfast

Brewbaker’s | Keene

As described by one google reviewer, this “place is the actual bomb.” Great breakfast sandwiches, donuts, locally roasted coffee and healthier fare are all available. If you’re in a rush we recommend ordering online.

Fire Dog Breads | Keene

Pastries as good as any you would find in Paris. Some of us involved in the development of this website think about Fire Dog almond croissants several times a day…

Prime Roast | Keene

Scrumptious baked goods and seriously delicious coffee. Small cafe with a handful of seats. A great place to see locals interact like we’re living here in Stars Hollow.

Lunch/Dinner

The Works | Keene

Bagels, sandwiches, salads, protein bowls – it’s all here for you at the works.

Kristin’s Bistro and Bakery | Keene

Kristin’s may look unassuming but this is seriously good homemade food (though not recommended if you are in a rush). The curry chicken salad is a local favorite, and if you want to see a bunch of locals running in there really excited, go when the are serving Chicken Pot PIe Soup – and get there early (check their facebook page for soup updates). This is LUNCH ONLY!

Luca’s | Keene

Delicious sandwiches, yummy salads, warm pastas are served here in a relaxed setting. Another local favorite.

Odelay | Keene

Hip, contemporary eatery featuring fusion tacos, burritos & rice bowls, plus wine & craft beer.

Yahso | Keene

Authentic, delicious Jamaican food at its best. From beef patties to curries to chicken wings, this place is not to be missed. Drinks are also served and there’s music and dancing (late night) often.

ACTIVITIES

Cheshire Rail Trail | Keene

Accesible by parking in the lot with the Children’s musem, this is a great path for walking or biking (very easy).

Ashuelot Rail Trail | Keene

Also acessible by parking in the lot with the Children’s museum, this is a great path for walking or biking (very easy).

Goose Pond | Keene

Mostly easy walk but some challenging parts (and sometimes very wet), a beautiful walk that takes about 45 mins to 1 hour (a bit easy to lose the trail here sometimes).

Mt Monadnock | Jaffrey

You’re going to want to budget at least a half a day (stay longer!) to hike up and down Monadnock. This is one of the most hiked mountains in the world and it’s not to be missed if you have the time.
