Night Skiing

Crotched Mountain, Bennington, NH:

Night skiing available until 9pm, Tuesday – Saturday.

As a member of the Vail Resorts Management Company (yes, THAT Vail), Crotched Mountain is a legit, full scale downhill ski experience located in the northeast corner of the region. All equipment is available for rent, lessons can be reserved, and with both a pub and a cafeteria there’s plenty of options to keep your energy up – even if you take advantage of their night hours. Only 40 minutes from Keene and 20 minutes from Peterborough, Crotched Mountain is a very accessible yet surprisingly uncrowded option to hit the slopes.

Late Night Guided Hikes

The Harris Center for Conservation Observation: Hanock and Surrounding Areas

The Harris Center for Conservation Observation offers a number of evening guided hike options throughout the year. On March 7th, join Harris Center naturalist Janet Altobello to enjoy the beautiful light of the Sun setting (5:45 p.m.) and the Moon rising (5:58 p.m.) from the open, rolling fields of Peterborough’s Lower Cranberry Meadow Pond and Wheeler Trails. We’ll meet at the Cheney Avenue entrance to the Cranberry Meadow Pond Trail, strap on snowshoes or microspikes, and traverse rolling terrain from the field to the forested Wheeler Trail and Wallace Brook. Experience day turning toward night in the crisp winter air!
